From rushed stage calls to a calm, repeatable workflow
spotlixray started as a set of notes shared between camera operators and lighting technicians who kept solving the same problems on every show. Those notes became Course A: a spotlight and visual production guide covering the exact skills needed to light, frame and shoot live entertainment with confidence.
Today we train independent crews, in-house broadcast teams and venue staff across the United Kingdom, always through hands on sessions on a real stage.
How we approach production training
Practical first
Every session is built around real stage set ups, not theory slides. You leave with footage you shot yourself.
Small groups
We cap every module so each trainee gets hands on time with lighting rigs and cameras, not just a seat at the back.
Built by crew
Our instructors work on live productions between courses, so the workflow we teach is the one currently used on set.
